Now that we are finally enjoying some sunshine and warmer temps - we are beginning to plan out our outdoor activities and getaways. Below are a few favorites on our bucket list for this spring in Maine!
1) Golf Getaway at Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Golf Resort
Stay overnight and enjoy cocktails on the ocean and a day of golf at the Boothbay Harbor Country Club. This pristine golf course is challenging but beautifully maintained and a great way to warm-up for golf season. After a round of golf you can head over to the spa at Spruce Point Inn or explore the downtown Boothbay area with a ton of shops and places to grab dinner.
2) Day trip to Peaks Island
Take the 15 minute ferry ride from Portland over to Peaks Island where you can rent bikes or golf cart around the island. You can grab brunch at the Inn or an afternoon ice cream while you explore this cool rocky island.
3) Hike at Sugarloaf
We know ski season is over, but Sugarloaf is a great place to visit off-season as well. With many trails to explore you can enjoy a beautiful hike followed by a beer at the local pub at the mountain.
4) Live Music & Lobster Rolls
Our favorite spot - The Portland Lobster Company has finally opened and we are pumped! Located directly on the water, you can enjoy an amazing lobster roll, local beer and some live music for a perfect Maine night. And don't worry if it is a little chilly, they have heaters to keep you warm when the sun goes down!
